For Immediate Release:
Kyli Santiago's 'Healing Yesterday’s Tears' Wins Three 2022 International Firebird Book Awards

The Firebird Book Awards is a charitable contest sponsored by Speak Up Talk Radio offering a quarterly competition for mainstream, independent, and self-published authors to be recognized for their work. Firebird Book Awards founder Patricia J. Rullo comments on the recent competition, “the number of important entries this quarter exceeded our expectations.”
The 2nd quarter of 2022 received submissions from authors and publishers from around the world. Each book was reviewed in its entirety by two judges from a panel of 23 and scored independently. Only entries with the highest scores win the coveted Firebird Award.
Snagging two first place Firebird Awards, Santiago’s debut poetry collection contains deeply personal and motivational poems confronting modern problems of depression, anxiety, suicide, and emotional abuse. The inspiring book of poems spearheads the poet’s mission to spread the word about the positive effects poetry has addressing matters of mental health.
Kyli Santiago knows firsthand about the healing power of poetry because she has experienced it in her own life. After years spent writing poetry as a therapeutic exercise, she healed herself from depression that she suffered from as a child into adulthood. Now, she has chosen to use her story of survival and triumph to help others struggling with similar challenges by publishing ‘Healing Yesterday’s Tears.’
In her book’s introduction, Kyli states, “I hope the words laid forth in the following pages can encourage, inspire, and even motivate you to bravely confront and overcome any obstacles you may encounter on your path to true happiness.” With the authors intention clearly stated and exhilarating poetry to back its purpose, Healing Yesterday’s Tears transcends the realm of poetry and proves to be a valuable self-help tool and resource for anyone seeking words of encouragement or wishing to feel empowered during difficult times.
First place winner of the 2022 International Firebird Book Awards for both “Inspirational” and “Motivational” categories, and THIRD-PLACE WINNER for “Muti-Cultural Nonfiction,” Healing Yesterday’s Tears is 75 pages now available in Paperback and eBook on Amazon, and wherever books are sold.
